Enjoying gardens * Inspiring gardeners * Supporting our library

Enjoy gardening? Looking for ideas? Explore the texture and color of 6 distinctive gardens on display for the Northampton Garden Tour, a fundraiser for the Friends of Forbes Library. From old-fashioned cottage gardens to dramatic hardscapes, these gardens offer samplings of both secluded and dramatic spaces. Gardeners and volunteer guides will be on hand to answer questions.

Workshop with Tracy Culver Putnam, Chief gardener, Botanic Garden, Smith College

• Saturday, June 1 from 1:00-3:00 p.m.: Pruning Demonstration Workshop on Smith Campus. Hands on demonstration. $20/person with 15 person limit. Reserve space at ldybug.21@gmail.com

Garden Tour

• Saturday, June 8, 10 AM to 3 PM. Cost: $15 in advance, $20 day of the tour.
  Tickets available at Forbes Library, Cooper's Corner, Cornucopia Foods in Thorne's, Bay State Perennial Farm, Hadley Garden Center, & State Street Fruit.

Raffle

Prizes will be on display & raffle tickets for sale at Forbes Library from May – Thursday, June 6 and at garden #4 on the day of the tour. 2 tickets/$5 or 5 tickets/$10. Click for details
