This local organization will even pick up your donation! Other choices include convenient drop off spots or a mail in location.

Hampshire County Jail
Donations accepted for their library. Contact librarian Robert McCrea at 413-584-5911 x234.

VA Medical Center
The VA in Leeds maintains a small library which takes books in good condition (except, please, no Readers Digest Condensed). Please contact Joe Kulis, 413-584-4040 x2431.

Franklin County Jail
The Franklin County Jail is seeking book donations for the new library. If you would like to donate books, please contact Laura Waskiewicz, Education Counselor, at (413) 774-4014 ext 2128.

New Directions School
Part of the Cutchins Programs, New Directions School is a 766-approved private school, providing special-education services to 30 youngsters, including 22 residential students and eight day students. They are especially in need of children's picture books. Contact Education Coordinator Justin Smith, at (413)-584-1310 ext 327.

National and International

Books for Baghdad
Send your uneeded textbooks to a donation site in Jacksonville, FL. They will send them off to rebuild Baghdad University Libraries.

Prison Book Project
A secular, volunteer group that distributes books free-of-charge to prisoners in New England and Texas.

Their motto is "give book away, get books you want". This book exchange allows you to post unwanted books, send them to people who want them, and find books you want.

Title Trader
Swap, exchange and trade your old books, DVDs, CDs and textbooks with others online.

Books for Kids
Books for Kids in New York creates and furnishes libraries within existing children's centers.
