The Library offers free internet access at public workstations in the Reference, Arts & Music, and Children's Departments (Children's workstations for use by children and young adults only).
Free high-speed wireless Internet access is available in the Library on all floors. The service is available to anyone with a laptop, tablet, or other portable web-enabled device.
Wireless printing is available. To access it, you must be on the C/WMARS wireless network ('LibraryPublicHotspot'). Before printing, download the print driver. After downloading the driver and printing, you will be prompted to put in a 'User ID'. Then use this ID to log in to the print release station in the reference room and retrieve your print jobs.
There are some limitations to this service. The Library does not offer configuration assistance. The Library cannot accept the liability of handling your equipment and will not be responsible for any loss of data or damage to personal equipment. A WiFi network is less secure than a wired network and the signal strength varies within the Library. Please ask for a copy of our Wireless Internet Policy which gives more specific technical information as well as information about safety concerns of accessing a WiFi network.
